ABOUT THIS SEMINAR

Global sanctions have become increasingly complex with the US Treasury's Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), one of the best-known sanctioning bodies, enforcing U.S. sanctions in Asia and throughout the world. Organisations need to be able to identify where their risks lie in an ever-changing sanctions landscape.

More broadly, the past ten years has seen a phenomenal growth in the number of cross-border regulatory investigations.  Facing such investigations is challenging as different regulators operate within their own legal and procedural frameworks.  But while there is no one-size-fits-all approach, there are certain key considerations and practical steps which can assist organisations in dealing with such investigations.

Lawyers from Clifford Chance and Cavenagh Law LLP who have been involved in cutting edge sanctions matters and cross-border investigations will share their experiences on these topics.  They will provide illustrations from practice, and the audience will be invited to ask questions and share their perspectives on the topics discussed.

SPEAKERS

Ali Burney – Counsel, Clifford Chance

Janice Goh – Counsel, Cavenagh Law LLP
