The Conveyancing Practice Committee is pleased to present a ‘Conveyancing Highlights Seminar 2018’ for the sixth consecutive year.  In response to feedback, we are splitting this year’s session into two half-day sessions to reach out to more practitioners with busy schedules.

The legal practice of real estate in Singapore requires, in addition to a good understanding of property law, an appreciation of peripheral issues including principles of stamp duties, land title registration process, and relevant policies of statutory boards which control different aspects of dealings in real estate.

We are pleased to welcome the following expert speakers who will share their expertise and experiences:

  • Speakers from different divisions in Singapore Land Authority (SLA) who will elucidate the legal and regulatory requirements in their respective area of focus;
  • Speakers from the Stamp Duty and Property Tax Branch, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) who will highlight the key stamp duty and property tax rules that can affect property lawyers in their advice to clients.

This informative seminar aims to equip participants with practical knowledge that they can learn from our highly qualified speakers on their respective areas of expertise.

Go Theng Theng - Stamp Duty Branch, Property Tax Division, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore

Angeline Teo – Residential Branch, Property Tax Division, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore

Jade Koh – Deputy Director, Singapore Land Authority
