Burnout has been identified as one of the leading causes for mid-career lawyers leaving the profession over the past few years. Burnout can have long-lasting and wide ranging effects on professional careers, friendships, relationships, families, physical health and mental health.

This seminar will explore how legal professionals can avoid burnout in order to live healthier and happier lives. Two leading experts in mental health and legal practice will provide invaluable advice on how to lead authentic, balanced lives with successful careers.

Participants will gain an understanding of how to recognise, address, and prevent burnout with practical strategies. The consequences of burnout, including depression, anxiety, addiction, and other mental health problems will also be explored. Participants will learn about compassion fatigue and vicarious traumatisation when working with challenging and confronting cases.

There will be the opportunity for candid and confidential Q&A with both speakers.
