ABOUT THIS SEMINAR

Legal and financial experts will outline the common challenges and considerations involved in legal actions involving the abuse of the rights of minority shareholders and other breaches of fiduciary duties under the Companies Act. The speakers have been involved in a number of such cases, and will draw on their common experience from working together to address aspects of these cases which relate to establishing legal liability and the quantification of losses.

This topic is a recurring subject of disputes, involving entities in Singapore and the wider ASEAN region. Drawing on the speakers’ experience of working on these disputes, as lawyers and damages experts, the programme will address issues relating to breach, remediation and prevention in the context of these disputes, focusing on practical and theoretical topics.
